The 3:00 am Blues

I haven’t slept well in years and last night was particularly bad. So, I do what I think many guitars players do in situations like this—I play.
Sometimes, like last night, my fingers just seem to find all the right notes. I laid down a 0:30 slow blues track in Guitar Rig and then looped it. I picked a different bluesy preset, sat back in my chair and just played.
I played for almost an hour like that before I realized what had happened. Like most nights, I didn’t record anything, but I wish I had—why can’t I play like that when I’m awake!
