Jamming with the All Stars!

The All Stars played last week at Macworld, and man did it feel good. This, despite the fact that I forgot how to play “Brown Sugar.” :-)

The band played very well, and everyone sounded great, and w00t! You can see a photo gallery from the event at TMO.

    I just love that I got to see Paul playing the Cure. Never else would I have bet on a reality where that would happen.

    Now if we can get him to learn “Fascination Street” and “My Sharona”....

    Ooooh…”Just Another Day”...yeah, Paul playing Boingo!

    Yeah, I was pretty damned grateful to Paul for learning that lick.

    To Chris, too, for learning the keyboard part of that there 80’s newfangled artsy-fartsy music. :-)

    “My Sharona” is a definite possibility for the future, though!

    Heh…I think for Chris, the 70s are newfangled :-P

    The Knack, The Vapors, pretty much most of “The..” bands rocked.

    Now if you could find a couple women, you could do “Rock Lobster”...that would not suck at all

    Um…..Paul likes 80’s music. Muchly. The Houserockers are working on ‘Dead Man’s Party’

    Brian would do a bang up job on Love Shack, btw…

    For all you keeping score – The Ramones stuff gives me fits… – it’s hard to play simple. It’s not hard stuff because of the chords, it’s hard because the rhythm is so friggin’ steady. The mind wants to do something else. You start thinkin’ on the Ramones stuff and you’re toast.

    I would add, however, that The Ramones apparently gave those of us actually playing it some fits, too. :)

    I can’t wait to hear the Houserockers do “Dead Man’s Party.” That should rock!

    As for Love Shack, I can gay it up nicely. Me and my man Fred go way back!
